Ed Field Trail repairs, May 11, 2019
The sun came out warm and bright for our first work day of the 2019 season! A trusty crew of seven installed four bog bridges on the wettest east-west portion of the Ed Field trail near the Montague Rd trailhead. These bog bridges have anti-slip shingles installed so you can walk with confidence! Afterwards, we split into groups to put in metal stakes along the pink and orange trails as more permanent trail markers (you may remember that the wooden stakes have a habit of popping out). The bog bridges on Teawaddle Hill Farm that had floated out of alignment over the winter/early spring were also wrangled back into place. We thank Carl & Edie Field for opening their beautiful property to hikers.
